I haven't kept an online journal in years and I'm incredibly rusty, so I'm a bit hesitant to start a new one. However, I do miss musing to myself without real-life friends, family, and potential employers breathing down my neck. Facebook and Tumblr had completely shredded any anonymity I had in the past. I no longer feel comfortable posting in my old livejournal or any of other social media accounts. I believe it's time to start fresh with a new identity.

Otherwise, I have no idea what to write here so here's a gif because everyone loves gifs.

I'd love to. :D I know how you feel. LJ's definitely been slow (my f-list there is a ghost town) and Tumblr doesn't have communities, so yeah. XD

Ugh, I so sympathize re LJ and Tumblr. LJ is a shadow of what it used to be, which makes me super sad, and Tumblr just bugs me - it seems to be the hot new site for nerdly, fannish types and everybody else, yet I don't understand how. It doesn't have communities, it doesn't natively support comments... like, seriously? So, yeah, I really sympathize. Thanks for adding me!

The tag system on Tumblr is useful for linking fic and gif sets, but discussion's trickier. You either have to reblog then add to it or message the person privately which can get weird. I see Tumblr as a mashup between Pinterest and 9gag, to be honest.
