My Sim literally gets more tail than I do. 8'D
I got sucked into Sims 2 this past week and I haven't done anything productive ever since. _@ That's the danger I always have to keep in check when I game. It's so easy for me to get addicted and let other aspects of my life go. For example, our place has been a complete mess and I've failed to cook dinner on time repeatedly. I've just cleaned up today and I'm planning on loading the laundry later.

Anyway~ my "trust fund baby" Sim (explains why she started out with so much money lol) has way more drama than I do. She got caught cheating on her first boyfriend while on a date with another guy. She then proceeded to date a third guy which led to her falling out with one of her BFFs, who is guy #2's sister. But since none of them want to marry her, she found someone else to settle down with and now they're building their dream house on the largest possible lot. 8D

I swear I didn't plan most of this. She's just a Pleasure Sim who has fleeting wants all the time.

I'm trying to go for a zen/nature theme in my room, except for my kitchen which is pink...? Idk I just pick out the relatively cheap furniture. To be honest, this game simply goes to show how bad I am at interior decorating.

Steam Sale!

I know I'm coming off as a hardcore Fallout stan lately which I am BUT ANYWAY, Steam is having a sale on Fallout 1, 2, and Tactics! $3.39 each or $6.79 for the whole bundle. What a happy coincidence that they go on sale a week after I get FO2. *stabbity* I have the first two already. I wonder if I should get Tactics. Hrmm~

Kicking it old school and playing Fallout 2!

I'm tickled that there are SO many similar elements to this and the later Fallout games. I felt right at home. :3 The beginning drove me a little crazy because I wasn't tagged for unarmed/melee and I kept missing my blows 9 out of 10 times. But I stuck it out, found a gun, and started shooting away. I'm loving this game so much.

I saw Warm Bodies tonight, and it was so adorable. I've been a fan of Nicholas Hoult since About a Boy which is what got me to watch it in the first place, but the girl reminded me a lot of Kristen Stewart. Like a prettier version of her. That was probably done on purpose. I do feel like the movie glossed over a lot of details so I'm planning on reading the book when I can. My best friend's already on it and she highly recommends it.

After the movie, I had a banana and Nutella crepe. It was so good but omg there goes the week's worth of running (which wasn't much but anyway 8D).

Gong xi fa cai! Happy Chinese New Year, everyone! :D Here's pictures of our dinner on the first and second night. My husband paid for the first dinner, and we got a good amount of money from our elders in return, which we then used for our younger relatives' red envelopes. Holidays are fun, but it also makes me hugely aware of my age when I'm now giving money for the holidays too.

Also, I have a question! Does anyone on my f-list know any good, free stock photo sites? I'm signed up as an artist for falloutbigbang and I'm looking for some good stocks to work with. :3

I got ePSXe to work on my computer and now I'm playing Final Fantasy 9, where it' perfectly fine to take other people's savings in their own homes! :D FF9 was one of my first RPGs when I was a kid so it has a special place in my heart. Thought I gotta admit, I never noticed how adorable it is. Now I'm replaying it and I'm all akjdfhjadgfd Vivi stop being so cute!

Watched the first two episodes of Doctor Who on Netflix last night! I really liked it. :D I've been hearing a lot of good things about it for years, but I never got around to check it out till now. I think the Doctor is adorable.
I went for a quick run last night, but then I had a major craving and ate a Big Mac. OOPS AT ME AGAIN. I wish I could control my appetite, but I find it so hard. T_T I get so grumpy when I'm hungry, and I end up whining at everyone. Don't fuck with my food, guys. On the bright side, I woke up this morning and I wasn't bloated at all. So there's that. Gonna run again later hopefully, and this time no more binging!
Why is writing smut so difficult? I always feel like someone's looking over my shoulder when I write erotic stuff and I get so embarrassed. It's not like I have no idea how sex works. I just don't know how to make it sound good and not unintentionally hilarious.
Today I learned that my optimal time for writing is after dinner, around 6pm. I'm well-fed, chores are done, and husband's still at work so he's not pestering me about what I'm writing and why I won't let him read it (because smut and angst and OTP shipping inappropriate for a married woman).
No but really, I hang out with his older siblings and they're so normal with their dogs and sports and being ~healthy~ and how video games are sooo unproductive and how this one self-help book is a must-read. Idk I like fandom and fanfics and immersing myself in RPGs and I don't fit in. ;_;

Watched TV for once!

I had a good bit of time to myself last night. Chores were done, had my dinner, wanted to take a break from the internet, so I decided to watch some TV. I ended up on Lifetime's Wife Swap marathon. I remember watching one episode many years ago and it was pretty tame back then. Now, it's all crazy and the families are judgmental and hate each other.

Nonetheless, I watched for three straight hours. Oops at me!

One episode had a family obsessed with appearances and winning. Their kids, including their 1-year-old baby, compete in child pageants. The one time the baby lost, the dad cried because she had to be the best. Wtf. His wife, who sleeps in make-up and cleans the house in high heels because her husband wants her to look perfect all the time, got swapped for a feminist doctor who doesn't believe in extreme competition. So that was a fun episode. :D

If I had to live with that kind of man, I'd have bitchslapped him six ways to Sunday. I literally flipped the TV off when he said women are accessories. It didn't help that he kinda looked like Chris Evans. Ugh, don't ruin Captain America for me! DX

I do wonder what kind of family I'll be placed in if I ever do a wife swap. The show tends to pick polar opposites so probably a family who's very social and uppity, maybe athletic to a point. Very traditional, for sure. I like to think of myself as adaptable, but gross sexism and strict gender roles are huge no-nos.

Also, how scripted is the show? Some families seemed to have a lot of animosity between them, but then in other shots they're all buddy-buddy and idk? If I hated someone that much, they would not be getting any hugs from me. Rawr.

I made a set of Jane Austen icons for myself. :D This page has some beautiful watercolor illustrations of her books. Oh, and the books themselves are there too. XD I plan to make a few more and then make an icon post here.

Been dealing with life stuff lately, it's put me in a not so good mood. One reason is my right knee's been hurting for the last few days. I might be overexerting myself at the gym. I planned on taking it easy, but I ended up drinking a bit tonight so I need to work that off tomorrow. On the plus side, my hubby and sister-in-law are highly entertaining when drunk. Bwahahaha.

Here's to hoping tomorrow's a better day!

Thanks to my endless rambling, my husband is now replaying Fallout: New Vegas. \o/ I tend to vent to him about the characters and factions, just to get my thoughts out there about my fic ideas. (I have a lot, now if only I could write them!) He says he wants to know exactly why I refuse to talk about much else.

Except he seems to be playing it for completely different reasons right now. He's so far spent at least two hours looting and pickpocketing everyone at the NCRCF. I'm like, why don't you go to Primm and get the story going? And he turns to me goes, but the LOOOOOT. Whatever floats his boat, I suppose.

On the upside, the graphics on his computer is INSANE. He did quite a bit of modding and the textures are quite impressive! Perhaps I'll roll another courier on his computer and take screenshots. I wonder if Fallout 2 will run correctly on it too. I've tried numerous times to get it to work on my laptop (Windows 7), but the colors are always off and for some reason my laptop won't run it on compatibility mode. ;_; Might have to run it on his much older XP desktop. Bah.

All within five minutes!

I've been playing Magicka, also known as How To Kill Yourself Repeatedly in 10 Seconds or Less. But it's so much fun, you won't realize you've been unwillingly committing suicide for the last two hours. 8D Also it makes no sense at all. Everyone is either really dense or condescending as hell, and they don't hesitate to lampshade gaming tropes. I love it.

I've been playing with the Cyber Robe which so far is hella overpowered. I can spam AOE lightning spells without getting hurt, and if it rains I just cast lightning for instant heals!

Pro-tip: Cyber Robe Companion + Thunderbolt = ULTIMATE POWAAAAH

I haven't kept an online journal in years and I'm incredibly rusty, so I'm a bit hesitant to start a new one. However, I do miss musing to myself without real-life friends, family, and potential employers breathing down my neck. Facebook and Tumblr had completely shredded any anonymity I had in the past. I no longer feel comfortable posting in my old livejournal or any of other social media accounts. I believe it's time to start fresh with a new identity.
